Struggling to delete Facebook group? This 5 steps guide will show you exactly how to do it.
- Log in to Facebook: Open your web browser or the Facebook mobile application and log in to your Facebook account.
- Navigate to your group: Click on the “Menu” button on the top right of the Facebook home page. Scroll down and select the “Groups” option. Then, click on “Your Groups” and select the group you want to delete.
- Access Group Settings: On the group’s page, click on the “More” button if you’re using a browser or the “…” button on the mobile app. This will open a dropdown menu where you’ll see the “Edit Group Settings” option. Click on it.
- Remove Members: Before a group can be deleted, all members must be removed. Scroll down to the “Members” section. You’ll see a list of all the members in your group. Next to each member’s name, click on the “…” button and select “Remove from Group”. Repeat this until all members are removed.
Please note: You might have to confirm each removal by clicking “Confirm”.
- Leave the Group: Once all other members have been removed, you will be the last member standing. In the “Members” section, next to your name, click on the “…” button and select “Leave Group”. A pop-up will appear asking if you’re sure about leaving as this will delete the group, confirm by clicking on “Leave and Delete”.
And that’s it! Your Facebook group has now been deleted. Remember, this action cannot be reversed. Once a group is deleted, it can’t be recovered, so make sure you truly want to delete the group before proceeding.
