  • As you normally would, share.

You don’t want to have to download the same podcast on three different devices. Synchronize them!

  • From your Home screen, open the Settings app.
  • Go to Podcasts and select it. It’ll be a little further down the page if you want to find it.
  • Toggle the switch next to Sync Podcasts on and off.
  • Toggle the switch next to Sync Podcasts in Settings, then hit Podcasts.

When you sign in with your Apple ID, your podcasts will now be synced.

You might not want to delete any episodes of shared podcasts if you’re sharing an Apple ID with a family member or friend and they download your podcasts. Just in case, you know.

  • From your Home screen, open the Settings app.
  • It’s approximately halfway down the list if you select Podcasts.
  • Toggle off the switch next to Delete Played Episodes.

The episodes you’ve downloaded will now remain on your computer until you delete them manually. So, if you don’t have access to the internet and want to listen again, you can.

How to Turn Off Podcast Notifications on iPhone and iPad

Notifications may annoy you if you’re just going to listen to your new podcasts when you’re ready. You have the option of turning them off.

  • From your Home screen, open the Settings app.
  • It’s approximately halfway down the page, so tap Podcasts.
  • Select Notifications from the menu.
  • To turn off notifications, tap the switch next to Allow Notifications.
