Star, Nigeria’s most iconic lager beer, becomes Team Nigeria’s Official Alcoholic Beverage with the start of the agreement. The brand will support athletes and coaching staff, as well as provide top entertainment to dedicated fans cheering on Team Nigeria during and after events.
Team Nigeria will be headed by notable record-breakers, including flag bearer OdunayoAdekuoroye and Captain Aruna Quadri, in track and field events, water sports, and weightlifting.

Individual teams include remarkable athletes, such as the Nigerian basketball team “D’Tigers,” which has given the country fresh hope following their recent performances in exhibition games building up to Tokyo 2020.

The track and field team, which has won 13 of Nigeria’s 25 medals and two of its three gold medals at previous Olympic Games, includes superstar athletes such as Grace NwokochaNzubechi, the fastest girl in the country; Blessing Okagbare, an Olympic and World Championship medalist; and Ruth Usoro, the Nigerian triple jump record holder, to name a few.
