If you don’t already have it, you can get it from the Google Play Store here (or mistakenly deleted it). If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can also get it from Apple’s App Store.
You’ll need to open it and login in using your Google account once you’ve downloaded it. If you have an Android device, you’ve most likely already set one up, but you have an iOS device and don’t have a Gmail account.
After that, you’ll be prompted to provide your phone number to proceed. The app will then send you a check SMS with digits that you must enter to advance to the next round.
Now that you’ve completed that, you can begin adding your contacts.
What system do you use to keep track of your contacts? Users using Google Duo on Android and iOS should be able to access their contacts rapidly. It will reach the vast majority of your contacts who are already using Google Duo, as well as those in your contact list who do not have the app and can be encouraged to do so.
When you press on your contact, you’ll be given options for what you want to do.
How to start a video call
When you press the number you wish to call, you’ll be offered the option of making a video or phone call. But, instead of calling them, you can record a message for them and send it to them.
If you call, you’ll dial their number, and the person you’re speaking with will be needed to respond instantly for the call to begin. To disconnect from a call, press the red catch that looks like a phone facing downwards.
How to start a group call
To do so, you’ll need to create a Google Duo gathering. You can then invite up to eleven more people to a meeting by swiping up from the Duo app’s home page and selecting “create the gathering.”
You can use this to invite anyone to the meeting and then send a call-in greeting to everyone. Then, as the video conference develops, more people will join, and you will observe them as regular video calls.
They’ll display in the app’s “Gatherings” area after you’ve generated them, where you can dial them without having to add them all over again.
You may also rename a gathering by pressing and holding the three dabs in a vertical line while selecting “rename.”
What sort of effects and filters are there?
Like most other educational tools, Google Duo has a variety of channels and effects that you can use on yourself. Everything from turning into a fish to having prongs shoved into your head is on the list.
These effects could be used to record video messages or overlay anything you’re shooting during a live video visit.
Can you use Google Duo on a PC?
In the meanwhile, you can do so with the help of a web app. You can begin the procedure by clicking on this link.
You must first connect your Gmail account and authenticate your phone number before using Google Duo.
Much of what has been said thus far applies to Google Duo on PC. The official Google Support website has an easy-to-understand Google Duo for PC tutorial if you have any further questions.
