Lagos State Government says it will only allow final year students of the tertiary institutions to resume classes on Monday.
Special Adviser on Education to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Tokunbo Wahab made this known on Thursday while responding to questions on Channels Televisions Sunrise Daily Programme.
Wahab stressed that students of the tertiary institutions will resume in faces from final year students, since they are more matured and are going to meet up with the protocol put in place by the institution, based on the regulations of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)
He assured that all the students on campuses will not resume at the same time to allow for social distancing, stressing that after the final year examination, those in the penultimate year may take its turn.
He added that the curve has been scientifically proven to be flattened, which means the rate of exposure has been reduced as compared to what was obtainable few months back
Wahab also assured that adequate measures have been taken to protect the spread of the virus while bringing lights back to normal.
