The President, Muhammadu Buhari MFR, has paid tribute to a patriot, great statesman and pioneer civil servant, Alhaji Ahmed Joda, who died after an elongated illness in Yola, his hometown on Friday, August 13, 2021.
In a condolence message released by Malam Garba Shehu, the President spokesman in Abuja on Friday, he highlighted Joda’s “outstanding contributions to Nation’s progress and unity ” from birth of the nation until his death.
President Buhari said, Joda’s prominence ideals will continue to motivate millions across the Nigeria and added that “ We will not forget his sacrifices “.
Buhari also said that the late statesman and some of his colleagues were referred to in the 70s, “distinct himself as a journalist, remarkable scholar, public servant and farmer.’’
Buhari describes late Joda “as a hero for all Nigerians” and, even in death, “will continue to motivate every generation to move forward with love, harmony and brotherhood. “ Buhari prayed that the Almighty Allah accept his good works and grant his family, Adamawa Emirate Council and the people of the Adamawa, the fortitude to bear the loss.
