NSE Uyo Branch Congratulates Engr. Etido Inyang On NSE Presidential Merit Award 2020

The Nigerian Society of Engineers, Uyo Branch has expressed its warm felicitation to Engr Etido Inyang FNSE on the recent Nigerian Society of Engineers Presidential Merit Award bestowed on him.

The award which is in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the growth of engineering profession in Nigeria was presented to Engr. Etido Inyang during the opening ceremony of the Engineering Conference/ Annual General Meeting of the Society in Abuja.

Presenting the award, the National President of NSE, Engr. Babagana Muhammad FNSE acknowledged Engr. Etido Inyang’s selfless services and support towards the growth of the Society at both local and national level and encouraged him to continue his best in advancing engineering profession.

According to the felicitation message signed by Uyo Branch Chairman of NSE, Engr. Ukeme Okpob, Engr. Inyang is a seasoned professional whose Engineering services have contributed greatly in rebuilding the modern economy.

Engr. Okpob described the merit award as timely and suitable based on his numerous contributions to the society and his pedigree in engineering services, adding that Engr. Inyang has utilized his talent in strategizing, organising and mentoring to serve the society meritoriously.

He insisted that the legacies of Engr. Inyang have set new standards with every responsibility that will always be remembered.

He however appreciated the national body of Nigerian Society of Engineers for finding Engr. Etido Inyang worthy for the presidential Merit Award, saying that Engr. Etido Inyang has explored every opportunity and deployed its entire energy to ensure that best Engineering service is delivered with professional standards.

Meanwhile, Engr. Etido Inyang is a Civil Engineer and Manager per excellent. Born on January 8, 1965 in Ikot Ekpene LGA Akwa Ibom State.

Engr. Inyang is the current Chairman Ibom Power Company. He also served as Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Special Duties and former Special Adviser on Technical Matters during the administration of Chief Godswill Akpabio.

He was also a member of the Board of Ibom Airport Development Company Limited; Director of Ibom Power Company; Head of the Technical Team on Finance and General Purposes Committee (FGPC); Head of State Project Monitoring Committee, and State Project Manager of Ibom Industrial City Project.

He was first employed by Schlumberger Oilfield Services at Port Harcourt in October 1989, where his capacity and skills were reinforced though various in-service trainings.
