Based on his support to the growth of Engineering Profession, the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE) has awarded the Senator representing Akwa Ibom North West in the Senate, Senator Chris Ekpenyong as Fellow of the NIEEE.
The award was presented to Senator Chris Ekpenyong on Friday at NIEEE Headquarters, Maitama, Abuja.
Presenting the award, the National Chairman of NIEEE, Kings Adeyemi said the award is given to Engr. Ekpenyong given the roles he is playing in the emerging technologies in driving digital transformation of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE) and the entire Engineering Profession.
He described Senator Chris Ekpenyong as a great achiever in Engineering Profession and extolled his contributions to the development of NIEEE and growth of Engineering.
Senator Chris Ekpenyong was represented by the Chairman Nigerian Society of Engineers, Uyo Branch, Engr. Ukeme Okpob appreciated the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE) and pledged his continuous support to the Institute to promote Electrical Engineering Profession.
He however thanked NIEEE for the award and extolled the vision to see NIEEE leadership of becoming a world-class professional body.
