FG Appoints Uyo NSE Chairman Into National Board for Technology Incubation

The Chairman Nigerian Society of Engineers, Uyo Branch, Engr. Ukeme Okpob has been nominated into the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for technology incubation centre (TIC) Uyo.

The appointment is signed by the Director General/CEO of National Board for Technology Incubation, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Engr. Mohammed Jubril.

The appointment takes immediate effect with the tasks of advising, supporting and bringing the much-needed insight and provide assistance for continuous improvement of the centre.

According to Jibril, the nomination of Engr. Okpob is based on his intellectual contributions to the Technology Incubation programmes and his track records, wealth of experience and dedication to duty.

He however congratulated Engr. Ukeme Okpob on the noble appointment and wished him Success in demonstrating his wealth of experiences in linking Government, Research and Academia with TIC.

Engr. Okpob is the CEO/MD of Opulence 5 Contractors Ltd, a construction/consulting firm based in Uyo. He’s also the country representative of Kenzai Ceramic Industries Company of Thailand and a sole distributor of Kenzai Ceramic tiles in Nigeria.

He holds an Ordinary National Diploma in Building Construction from the Institute of Management and Technology, IMT Enugu. A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from the Enugu State University, Enugu and an Msc in Construction Management from the University of Uyo in view.

He is a member board of the Akwa Ibom State Procurement Council as a Council member. He is a former Publicity Secretary of the Society and he served as the immediate past Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Uyo Branch.

Engr Okpob is also the Immediate Past Chairman, Enugu State University of Science and Technology. (Eust) Alumni Akwa Ibom Chapter and President,
Government Technical College Ikot Ada Idem Old Students Association.
