Akwa Ibom Entrepreneur Harps on Government Role in Business Growth

The Chairman of Everyday Foods Group, Mr Magnus Chukwuekezie has said government in Nigeria and its sub-nationals must implement policies to help entrepreneur see gains in business.

Chukwuekezie who owns a chain of businesses in Uyo spoke in Uyo recently at the opening of the group’s new state of the art business edifice housing a mart and popular eatery, Tantalizers.

He decried the failure of policies of successive governments that has led to the current condition of the nation, where inflation is on the rise.

“We cannot shy away from the fact that government decisions and governance style affects local businesses. Everyday the situation deteriorates. It is not just this administration, it is a product of the many years we never got things right, leading to our poor foreign exchange rate and inflation. The situation is not hopeless, we already know where the problem lies, it is the will power that we lack”.

He however commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for the peace and security of lives and property that residents of Akwa Ibom State enjoy and how it has positively impacted on businesses in the state.
