Akwa Ibom State Government is ready to partner corporate organisations and companies with the capacity to contribute towards marketing and projecting the rich potentials of the State.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong made this known in Uyo while playing host to the Governing Council and Executive members of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, who paid him a courtesy call as part of activities marking the Institute’s 2020 Annual Directors’ Conference in Uyo.
Comrade Ini Ememobong who welcomed the Executives of the NIPR and by extension all participants to Akwa Ibom State, said, government was pleased to collaborate with NIPR, with the knowledge that, the the body has the capacity to assist the government in projecting the rich potentials of the state in all sectors such as: Aviation, Infrastructure, Tourism, Power, Health, Education and indeed the general peaceful and beautiful ambience of the environment.
He said, the choice of Akwa Ibom by NIPR for the Conference was a clear testimony that Akwa Ibom is indeed a preferred destination of choice to tourists and investors and urged members of the Institute to spread on the rich potentials of Akwa Ibom to the wider world.
While intimating the guests that, Akwa Ibom is notable for hospitality, warm and friendly disposition towards visitors and strangers, the State Spokesman said, the culinary prowess of the people is legendary.
The Information helmsman said, it will be gratifying for the NIPR members to take out time to enjoy the array of tourists’ attractions and salivating dishes, Akwa Ibom boast of and used the occasion to invite them to the lined-up of Christmas activities in the State which will kick -off with the opening of the Christmas Village on December 1.
Earlier, the Chairman in Council and National President of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo expressed appreciation to State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong for the warm reception accorded them and said, the Institute chose Akwa Ibom State because of the National acclaim the state has received as the most peaceful with beautiful infrastructure such as the Ibom Hotels and Golf Resort, the venue of the Conference.
Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo extended the appreciation of the NIPR to Governor Udom Emmanuel for the patronage which has contributed maximally to the success of the Conference in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
Present at the Courtesy call were: the Vice Chairman in Council of NIPR, Acg Adewale Adeniyi, the Chairman NIPR Directors’ Conference 2020, Nkechi Ali-Balogun, the Commissioner of Information, Delta State, Mr. Charles Aniagwu and the Chairman of AKS chapter of NIPR, Mr. Nsemeke Udoakpan, among others.
Highlight of the courtesy call was the presentation of Publications of the Ministry including: ” Akwa Ibom Impact” magazine and “4 Years of Touching Lives” as well as that of FEYReP, the pet project of the Wife of the Governor, “Martha’s Diary”, to the National President of NIPR, by the Commissioner, Comrade Ini Ememobong.
