One of Nollywood’s veteran actress Rachel Oniga has died at 64, as a result of covid- 19 complications on Friday, 30th July 2021.
Mr Olatunji, her son confirmed her death on Saturday, stating that his mother died on Friday night at about 10pm.
Before her death, she starred in recent movies like ‘My Village People’, ‘Chief Daddy’, and ‘Royal Hibiscus Hotel’. The deceased was one of Nollywood’s most famous and influential thespians.
The famous movie star was born on 23 May, 1957 in Ebutte Metta, Lagos State. But originally hails from Eku in Delta State. Oniga made her first appearance in the 1996 Nollywood hit movie ‘Onome.’
Rachel went on to star in a lot of big productions like ‘ Wale Adenuga’s television series, ‘Super story,’ ‘People,’ and ‘Sango.’
