Nigerian actor and comedian Williams Uchemba has demurred to the popular proverb ‘You can be whatever you want to be.’
Williams in a lengthy post shared via his verified Instagram page on Wesnesday, August 11 2021, said that the proverb has led many people to their premature death in the society.
He said “One of the biggest lies he believed all his life, and till date still see people make the same mistake, is the lie that YOU CAN BE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BE. This sentence has led so many people to their premature death, frustration and hopelessness.” Also, he said, it was like telling a sofa, it can be a fridge or that a fridge can be a bed if it believes.
Before the Nollywood actor Williams demurred to the popular proverb saying the ‘manufacturer already knew the purpose of the sofa and the problem it would solve therefore he had finished the product in his mind even before he began manufacturing.”
The Nollywood actor, went ahead to say that every individual on earth was created for a different purpose but, finding that purpose was one the biggest problem some individuals find it hard to discover. He urged people trying to find their purpose to be what God wants them to be and not what they want to be.
